Chandru launches poll campaign for BJP
Bangalore, Apr 28 (UNI) Actor-turned politician Mukhya Mantri Chandru today launched a state-wide election campaign along with a team of artistes to seek votes for the BJP.
Mr Chandru told reporters here today that he would tour the state starting from Tumkur to Bidar in the northern part of the state to create awareness about Kannada and the state's culture and party's commitment to protect them if it came to power.
He would take up a 23-day campaign along with 25 TV artitstes for campaining by putting up street plays, holding padayatras, public meetings and door-to-door campaign to seek votes for the candidates.
He would tour more than 70 Assembly constituencies to garner votes for his party to come to power on its own.
