Madurai, Apr 28 (UNI) The BJP in Tamil Nadu will organise Human chain agitations on May two in all the district headquarters in the state to condemn the spiralling prices of essential commodities.
Talking to newspersons here today, BJP state president L Ganesan said the Centre had failed on all fronts including to control the hike in prices of essential commodites.
He said BJP president Rajnath Singh would address a public meeting at Karaikudi tomorrow, marking the culmination of the Rath Yatra undertaken by party leader H Raja from Nilgiris to condemn the 'anti-people' policies of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.
Mr Singh would also pay homage at the memorial of freedom fighter Muthuramalinga Thevar at Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram district, Mr Ganesan added.
He said senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu would address a public meeting at Ramanathapuram on May 12, to mark the culmunation of the rath yatra undertaken by S Thirunavukkarasar, while Murali Manohar Joshi would address a public meeting at Chennai on May 3, marking the end of Rath Yatra undertaken by him (Ganesan).
Answering a question, he strongly opposed the move to acquire agricultural lands for setting up Special Economic Zone (SEZ) by the State Government.
