Bhajji apologises for Mohali fracas

New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) Acknowledging that he was guity of assualting Mumbai Indians pacer S Shreesanth, temperamental off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has apologised after being banned for the rest of the IPL today.

''Whatever happened on that night was wrong. I apologise for my mistake,'' Harbhajan told mediapersons here.

''A lot of things happen in a family. We are part of one family.

Everything is fine now, Sreesanth is like a younger brother to me and I apologised to him,'' the off-spinner added.

Stating that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has always treated him like his child Bhajji said,''BCCI was always with me in times of need and the association has treated me like his child.'' He also thanked to the public for their full fledged support and asserted that he will bounce back.

''I am very thankfull for the support of Indian public. I am assuring them that I will bounce back and will play for the Country,'' he stated.

The Punjab off-spinner was banned for the rest of the IPL matches after being found guilty of a level 4.2 offence following his altercation with speedster S Sreesanth after an IPL encounter between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab on April 25 at Mohali.

He was also penalised 100 per cent of his match fees from the third match onwards.
