19 people killed in Ukraine helicopter crash
Moscow, Apr 28 (UNI) Nineteen people were killed in Ukraine today when an MI-8 helicopter crashed onto the Tavrida floating platform in the Black Sea, Itar-Tass news agency reported.
One person on board the helicopter survived, Itar-Tass news agency quoted the Press service chief of the Naftogas Ukraini Company, Valentin Zemlyansky as saying. The helicopter was carrying 20 people at the time, it added.
Last month 12 people died when a helicopter of the Ukrainian border guards crashed into the Black Sea.
Mi-8 helicopters have long been used widely in the former Soviet Union for civilian and military flights.
