Kolkata, Apr 27 (UNI) Telephone cables and electrical wiring at Eden Gardens have gone missing and was suspected to be a case of theft, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials said today.
While BSNL cables at block B and C were missing, electrical wiring at C and D blocks were not found.
A case was today registered with the Hastings police station by the CAB officials.
The matter was conveyed to the police after discovery of missing telephone cables and wiring of electrical lines that connect various lighting system in the stadium.
City Police Commissioner Gautam Mohan Chakraborty was on an inspection visit tonight. He was told about the matter by the CAB officials.
Mr Chakraborty assured that the Detective Departmnet will investigate the case.
