Postal Dept inks deal with Centurion Bank
Chennai, Apr 27: The Department of Posts has entered into an agreement with the Centurion Bank of Punjab for retailing of foreign exchange products through 31 identified post offices across the country.
Various services would be available from April 28, including sale, purchase of foreign currencies, travellers cheques, foreign currency denomination, demand drafts, telegraphic and wire transfers, transactions against international credit cards and sale of store value cards, a release from Principle Chief Postmaster General said here today. In Tamil Nadu the services would be available in five post offices, including Chennai (2), Madurai, Nagercoil and Coimbatore.
