One injured by wild bear in Kashmir
Srinagar Apr 27 (UNI) Panic gripped in north Kashmir when a wild bear attacked villagers this morning and injured a person, official source said.
They said the wild bear suddenly appeared at Fatehpora village in Baramulla district, about 55 km from here in north Kashmir, when people were heading for their fields.
The bear attacked and injured Nisar Ahmad Dar who has been hospitalised.
About 50 people have been killed or wounded by wild animals in the Kashmir Valley since January this year.
They had to come from woods in search of food after the entire valley received heavy snowfall in 20 years.
In retaliation about half-a-dozen wild animals were also killed by the villagers during the same period.
