ISRO Chairman offers prayer at Lord Venkateswara
Tirumala, Apr 27 (UNI) ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair today offered prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple to seek devine blessing for the successful launch of PSLV-C9.
The Chairman, who arrived here last night on his way to Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, was received by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials inside the temple during the early morning 'Suprabhatam' rituals.
The 50-hour countdown for the launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle 'PSLV-C9,' carrying a record ten satellites as payloads, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Shriharikota began yesterday. The launch is scheduled at 0923 hrs tomorrow.
The PSLV-C9 would carry India's latest remote sensing satellite, CARTOSAT-2A, along with Indian Mini Satellite (IMPS-1) and eight nano-satellites from abroad.
