Vijayawada, Apr 27 (UNI) Telugu filmstar and son of former chief minister and TDP founder N T Rama Rao Balakrishana today said he would not ask for a ticket to contest in the next Assembly elections.
''The TDP high command would decide on the issue and I will do whatever work the party entrust me in the coming months,'' he told mediapersons at G Konduru in Krishna district today.

The statement of Mr Balakrishna comes in the wake of TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu holding confabulations with him during a luncheon meeting along with three other actors from the NTR family on April 12 in view of possible political entry of matinee idol Chiranjeevi and its impact on the TDP particularly in the coastal Andhra Pradesh where the party strength is considered to be weak.
Earlier, he unveiled the statue of Rama Rao at G Konduru in this district in the presence of thousands of his fans.
He also performed 'Palabishekam' on his father's statue and later inaugurated the blood donation camp at Mylavaram and donated blood along with his fans.
He also participated in the 'panduranga' film audio cassette release function at Chilakalapudi, where the ancient Pandurangaswamy temple is located.
