Puducherry, Apr 27 (UNI) The AIADMK in Puducherry today criticised the administration for not taking a concrete step in the entrance examination issue.
In a statement here, party state secretary A Anbazhagan alleged that the Chief Minister and Education Minister, due to their own problems had not taken a decision on the entrance examination thereby pushing the students and parents into confusion.
Last year itself, political parties, including the AIADMK had raised their voice in the Assembly for the abolishment of entrance examiantion and the government had said that from next year onwards it would be scrapped.
However, no initiative were taken in this regard, he said adding that if the government was really interested in abolishing the entrance examination, a legislation should have been enacted in the monsoon session.
By delibrately not taking any steps to abolish the examination, the government was enacting a drama, he alleged.
