12 killed in AP road accidents

Hyderabad, Apr 27 (UNI) At least twelve people, including four women, were killed and seven injured in separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said five people, including two women, were killed when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a bus at Hussainpalem near Machilipatnam.

The autorickshaw was coming from Pedana when the accident occurred.

Two of the deceased were identified as Nagamalleswaramma (44) and Chamundeswari (40).

The bodies were shifted to the Government General Hospital in Machilipatnam for post-mortem.

In another incident, four people, including a woman, were killed on the spot and six injured when a car carrying them hit a stationary bus near Budigaddapalli village of Goruntla mandal in Ananthapur district.

The car was proceeding to Kadiri from Bangalore.

The injured were admitted to Hindupur Government Hospital in the district.

Three people, including a woman and a girl of a family, were killed in another accident and one was injured when their car collided with a lorry near Haritavanam in Kadapa district.

The victims were proceeding to Kadapa from Tirupati.

The injured Venkataramana, an Inspector in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), was admitted to Kadapa hospital. His wife Padmavati, daughter Dipti and the car driver were killed, the police added.
