100-year-old house on chinar tree top
Srinagar, Apr 27: A century old house discovered on the top of a chinar tree in the central Kashmir has become a Centre of attraction for the people. The house was discovered after a group of villagers from Soibug in Badgam district informed Deputy Commissioner, Badgam, Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu about it during a public darbar.
Officials believe that the historic chinar tree itself was more than a century old. Located on the top of the tree, the wooden chamber with valuable archeological records was still in good shape and has become a major attraction for people who are thronging to see it. Mr Renzu visited the spot alongwith officers of Archeological department and went inside the house to review the monument.
