Bangalore, Apr 26(UNI) Wockhardt Hospitals, India's one of the leading super-specialty hospital group, today launched state-of-the-art mobile Intensive Care Unit service E-One, for the benefit of seven million citizens of the Garden city.
Speaking after launch, Dr Deshpande Rajkumar, Consultant Neurosurgeon, Wockhardt Hospitals said that a dedicated medical team would be attached to the ultra-modern ambulances which would rush to the spot of any medical emergency including heart attack, stroke or accident.
He said that any call made to 105711 for E-One help service will lead to rushing of ultra modern ambulance fitted with advanced life-saving equipment from the nearest Wockhardt ICU which was situated near the patient's residence.
He said that these ambulances which can be tracked through the GPRS system connected to the network and ensures constant monitoring of the status of the patient from pick-up and readying facilities at the hospital to threat the emergency. In critical cases expert guidance will be issued through a dedicated telephone line by trained doctors from the closest branch of Wockhardt Hospital. "The trained doctor in E-One is in constant touch with the super specialists in the hospital" he said.
Stating that the emergency medical care services was being provided by the Wockhardt hospitals to the public on free of cost and patient will have choice whether to continue to get treatment in Wockhardt Hospital or any other choice of his hospitals. The hospital will not charge for emergency medical care provided till he or she brought to the hospital, he added.
