Ahmedabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Despite opposition from the HRD Ministry, IIM-A today reiterated that its fee hike was here to stay.
The IIM-A board met today. IIM-A director Dr Sameer Barua, talking to reporters later, said the issue of fee hike did come up in today's meeting, but he refused to divulge further details.
The review committee, headed by R C Bhargava, visiting IIM-A campus did not discuss fee hike issue, IIM-A sources said. The committee has already aired its disapproval on the fee hike and even mentioned this in their communication to HRD Ministry on April 4.
Dr Barua said IIM-A will admit students against the OBC quota.
The admission list on general quota should be out on May 1 but the list of OBC quota will take around two weeks time, he said.
Dr Barua said students seeking admission under OBC quota need to provide an official certificate from the competent authority that they do not belong to the creamy layer of the OBC quota.
