NALCO inducts five new Directors to get Navaratna status
Bhubaneswar, Apr 25 (UNI) The National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) has complied the requirement for listing agreement with Stock Exchange with the induction of five new independent Board of Directors.
With the new appointments, the PSU, considered to be the largest manufacturer of Aluminum, would now have eight Independent Directors. NALCO sources said the company has complied all the requisites to pave the way for formally conferring Navratna status.
The five Independent Directors were appointed for a period of three years, sources said.
They included former Orissa Chief Secretary S B Mishra, former HAL Chairman N R Mohanty, Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC) Director Jyoti Mukhopadhyay, Federation of Indian Mineral Industries Secretary General R K Sharma and Major General Samay Ram (Retd).
