Congress worker try to self immolate
Bidar, Apr 26 (UNI) A Congress activist today attempted to commit suicide by pouring kerosene and tried to set himself on fire in front of Congress office here, in protest against the denial of party ticket to his leader C S Das Chiduri.
Police the activist Appiraju came to the party office and shouted slogans against the process of ticket allocation. He poured kerosene on himself and before he could strike a match stick, he was overpowered by the police.
He was taken into custody.
Some Congress said he was disappointed with the denial of ticket to Das and wanted to threaten the party leadership.
