BJP ''not worried'' over Rahul's campaign
Raipur, Apr 26 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Union Minister Ravishankar Prasad today said the BJP was ''not at all worried'' over Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's 'Discover India' campaign.
''The BJP has no objection to Mr Gandhi's study tour. The 'political miracle' caused by his visits to Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and some other states has already been observed,'' Mr Prasad -- who holds charge of Chhattisgarh -- told reporters here.
The Amethi MP is on a two-day visit to the state's tribal areas.
The BJP leader said sarcastically, after his tour, Mr Gandhi should tell Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to take steps to save tribals from the spectre of inflation.
Mr Prasad reached here today along with BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ramlal and left for Ambikapur. After taking part in a workers' meeting there, he would participate in another meet at Bilaspur tomorrow. The meetings are in view of the Assembly polls scheduled later this year.
