Hisar, Apr 26 (UNI) Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) supremo Kuldip Bishnoi today laid the rumours to rest about change of party candidate in Adampur when he announced that Bhajan Lal would contest the election from here.

After holding workers' meeting here, Mr Bishnoi said that the party shall have to apply for a new election symbol to Election Commission as the rising sun allotted to HJC belonged to some other political party.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Bishnoi said, ''We have scores of issues to go to the voters but the government has none. Price rice, corruption, discrimination, shortage of power and water etc.

have taken the voters away from the ruling party''.

The results of the byelection would determine the future course of politics in Haryana. Generally, the byelections favoured the ruling party but ''this time, it would be reverse,'' he said.

Mr Bhajan Lal and Mr Rakeksh Kamboj (Indri) would file nominations on April 30 and Dharam Pal Malik (Gohana) on April 28, he said.

Making an attack on the rival Congress party, he said, ''as usual, the Congress has imported candidate out of the district as was in the case with its party chief. The INLD also could not find a candidate from the constituency. Congress and INLD are fighting for the second place.'' Meanwhile, campaign for the bypolls gathered momentum with Congress candidate Ranjit Singh meeting party workers and addressing a press conference here today.

''We shall go to the voters on the basis of our performance and development work and also for establishing law and order situation in the state,'' he said.

In reply to a question he said, ''INLD nominee Sampat Singh had learnt his primary lessons in politics from us. What can he boast of?'' Mr Singh further said, ''We believe in clean and disciplined politics. I will file my nomination on May 1 in the presence of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and HPCC president Phul Chand Mullana.'' UNI XC JN SLD HT2012
