Lucknow, Apr 25 (UNI) In wake of increasing fire incidents, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Vikram Singh today directed its officials to start seasonal fire-fighter services.
The DGP said several fire incidents, especially in the rural segment of the state, had been reported recently. The villagers had to face loss of property hardship.
Taking serious note of the situation, the Uttar Pradesh government had already given its nod for the services and necessary equipment also been purchased regarding the same, Mr Singh apprised.
Mr Singh had ordered all Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), Superintendent of Police (SPs), Inspector General of Police (IG), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Chief Fire-fighter Officials to implement the services in rural areas at the earliest.
The service would be rendered from tehsil's police headquarters and would be available till June 30.
