Mhetre to examine possibility of restriction on cheerleaders
Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Siddharam Mhetre, in the Legislative Council, today said the government would examine whether steps could be taken to restrict thee performances of cheerleaders during the Indian Premier League (IPL).
BJP leader Nitin Gadkari had raised the issue earlier, while Dr Neelam Gorhe (Shiv Sena) raised the issue again today.
Objection was raised on the dance of foreign girls wearing skimpy dresses.
Mr Mhetre maintained that the government would examine whether it could restrict the performance of cheerleaders.
Interestingly, cinestar and owner of Knight Riders team Shahrukh Khan said he did not find anything wrong in the performance of the cheerleaders.
