Assembly suspended for 4 days
Shillong, Apr 25: The ongoing budget session of Meghalaya Assembly will remain suspended for four days from April 28 as the Chief Minister and other ministers are slated to attend a meeting of the Planning Commission in New Delhi.
Speaker Bindo M Lanong suspended the House following Chief Minister Donkupor Roy's request in view of his proposed meeting with Plannig Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia to decide on the plan size for the state.
The meeting is scheduled for April 29 in New Delhi.
