Haryana gives priority to research work
Chandigarh, Apr 25 (UNI) Haryana Chief Secretary Dharamvir today said Haryana government has given top priority to the research work and to promote research, 50 per cent financial assistance was being given to a person who was interested to present his research papers abroad.
The Chief Secretary was apprising the members of Second Administrative Reforms Commission who was here to interact with the Haryana Government officials about the administrative reforms taken by the state government.
The members of the Commission included Mr V Ramchandran, Dr A H Kalro, Member Secretary Mrs Vineeta Rai, Joint Secretary Mr P S Karlo and Director Mr Sanjeev Kumar.
The Chief Secretary apprised the members that the Haryana Government had also adopted National Building Code to make the building more hygienic and environment friendly. He said that Haryana State was also a pioneer State in setting up of Mini Secretariats at district level and out of 20 districts in 18 districts such Secretariat had already been set up.
Mr Dharamvir suggested that the loss occured to the crops due to fog and frost be included in the list of national calamities.
Besides,National Informatics Centre (NIC) be strengthened, to generatemaximum trained computer personnel.
