27 ULFA ultras surrender in Assam
Tamulpur, Apr 25 (UNI) At least 27 ULFA militants today surrendered to the authorities, thereby giving a jolt to the banned organisation in lower Assam.
Among them was a girl cadre.
The militants were from the 709, 109 and 27 battalions of ULFA.
They also deposited a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
The surrender ceremony took place in front of the GOC Red Horn division Major General Chandra Prakash and IGP (Law and Order) Chandra Nathan.
DIG(CWR) of Assam Police G P Singh was also present on the occasion.
