Nakoda Textile mulls backward integration plan; to invest Rs 325 cr
New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Nakoda Textile Industries Ltd today said it is mulling a backward integration programme by setting up a continuous polymerisation plant having installed capacity of one lakh MTPA with an investment of Rs 325 crore.
The partially-oriented yarn (POY) capacity is also being expanded by 70,000 MTPA. The backward integration and expansion is being taken up adjacent to the company's existing POY/FDY units at Karanj in Surat, a company statement said.
As a part of forward integration, Nakoda will install 20 texturising machines in a Textile Park being set up by Surat Super Yarn Park Ltd at Hathuran in Surat, it added.
The capital outlay for this project is estimated at Rs 325 crores and will be funded by equity, internal accruals and long-term debt.
