Maya asks honest implementation of developmental projects
Lucknow, Apr 24 (UNI) Expressing dissatisfaction over the prevailing law and order situation and implementation of developmental programmes in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today directed the officials to work for the betterment of people, particularly of the Scheduled Castes, backwards, minorities and the poor by honest implementation of the developmental projects.
Warning the police officials about the corrupt practices, she directed the officials to hold 'Thana Diwas' on every Saturday in each police stations of the state to solve the 'problems of the people.
The CM also constituted ten teams for 18 divisions of the state, which will inspect the developmental works on the spot and these band would at least give three day's time to each division.
On the report of these teams, CM will decide to personally visit some of these places to inpect the developmental works.
Ms Mayawati was today reviewing the law and order and developmental programmes in the state here in the presence of senior civil and police officials, besides district magistrates, SSP, DIGs, IGs and Commissioners.
''The CM warned the officials of dire consquences, if they failed to implement the projects and ensure corruption free police stations,'' state principal secretary, Information, Vijay Shanker Pandey said briefing mediapersons about the meet.
''The CM had ordered that police should ensure total ban of flashing of firearms, blocking of roads and distribution of literature or posters that spread hatred within society,'' Mr Pandey said.
