Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced in the state legislative Assembly, the government's decision to lift the ban on sale of Lakholi Dal (gram), which is the major produce in Vidarbha region.
Making a statement on the issue, raised by Nana Patole (Cong), Mr Deshmukh said an in-principle decision has been taken on lifting the ban.
He said, however, the opinion of the Advocate General would be taken to solve the technical hitches in the matter.
The ban had been earlier imposed as the Dal was certified 'not suitable' for consumption.
