New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave a green signal to the Ministry of Information and Brodcasting to sign the Annex (Rules of Procedure) to the Film Co-production Agreement signed with the Government of United Kingdom.
After the rules are in force, the Indian film industry can co-produce films with the industry of the UK, Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told mediapersons after a Cabinet meeting.
The agreement would encourage the making of films reflecting the diversity of culture and heritage of both the countries. The benefits would flow to both the co-producers.
