Trinamool worker "murdered" by CPM men
Birbhum, Apr 23 (UNI) A Trinamool Congress worker was murdered allegedly by some CPI(M) activists at Thupsara village under Nanoor police station in the district today.
Trinamool leader Anubrato Mondol told reporters that one Lal Mohammad was killed by the ruling party supporters during an inter party clash in which five persons were also injured.
He accused the CPI(M) workers of also attacking his party members and hurling bombs during Trinamool's Booth Committee meeting recently in which 13 party activists were seriously injured.
''All Trinamool Congress activists had fled the village in fear of CPI(M) rowdies and police,'' Mr Mondol said adding that when the workers returned today some CPI(M) men clashed with Trinamool supporters and killed Lal Mohammad.
''Mohammad's body is still lying on the spot as no one dared to take the body for post mortem,'' Mr Mondal said.
