SRK credits his team's achievements in IPL to team effort

By Staff

Mumbai, Apr 23 (UNI) Taking little credit for his team's performance, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, today said the achievements of his team's victories in the Indian Premier League were due to team effort.

''I don't dictate to the team at all, that would be silly...Imagine Sourav Ganguly telling me how I should have delivered my dialogues in 'Om Shanti Om', Shah Rukh replied on being asked if he was dictatorial in his team's game planning.

''I don't even enter the team room without knocking,'' he said at a function here.

Khan said though the format was new, no one could complain about money not being invested in sports, especially cricket.

''We have 12-13 newcomers in the team, all unknown, and it is a great chance for them. We plan to stay positive and not think of short term profits in this game,'' he said.

He also credited business houses that have supported his team, saying that his philosophy of completing his job, and always maintaining a good relationship with his professional partners have paid huge dividends.

''I had asked them for help as the project was too big for me to handle, and I got an extremely positive response from all for which I am grateful. But the ultimate success will not depend on my histronics nor the the endorsements, but on the team,'' Khan added.
