Scarlet Johansson 'too old' to star in period romance
New York, Apr 23 : Actress Scarlet Johansson was replaced by Harry Potter star Emma Watson in a new period romance, because the makers think that the former is 'too old' for the role.
The 23-year-old actress has been deemed "too old" to star in the film 'Napoleon and Betsy' and has been replaced by Watson, known for her role of Hermoine in the Harry Potter series, reports the New York Daily News.
Watson would be seen in the role of Betsy Balcombe, a young woman trapped on an isolated British island who falls in love with the imprisoned Napoleon.
However, the 'Horse Whisperer' star is still involved in the project as a co-producer.
The film is written and directed by British filmmaker, Benjamin Ross.
