Rebel leaders from Bihar unit of BJP call on Advani

Patna, Apr 23 (UNI) Annoyed with the recent Cabinet expansion, the rebel leaders of the Bihar unit of the BJP today met central leaders of the party, including Mr Advani, and demanded sacking of Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar.

Annoyed with his dropping from the Ministry, Chandramohan Rai, MLA Amarendra Pratap Singh and Rameshwar Chaurasia called on Mr Advani, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya sabha Jaswant Singh, former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj and incharge of the BJP political affairs of Bihar Kalraj Mishra and apprised them of the latest situation.

After their meeting, the rebel leaders told UNI over telephone from New Delhi that the central leaders gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by them. They expressed satisfaction on the meeting and said they had full confidence in the central leaders who assured them to resolve the crisis.

Meanwhile, sources close to the BJP said the party was trying to pacify the dissident leaders till the Lok Sabha elections. The central leaders also asked the rebel camp to be patient till the Lok Sabha elections and suggested them to get prepared for it.

Several leaders, including former ministers and MLAs in the BJP camp, were demanding sacking of party state president Radhamohan Singh as well as Mr Modi.
