Praful Patel inaugurates new Terminal building at Porbandar
Porbandar, Apr 23 (UNI) As a part of Indian Airports modernisation, process, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel today inaugurated the new Terminal Building at the Airport here.
Mr Patel said, the night landing facility at the Porbandar Airport will be made available by September, this year.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the inaugural function.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has constructed the new Terminal Building at a cost of Rs 13.15 crore with all modern facilities to handle 100 arriving and departing passengers at a time. The total covered area of the terminal is 4000 sq mt.
The terminal has various facilities such as six check-in counters, weighing machines, two conveyor belts at the Arrival area and one at the Departure area, Public Address System CCTV, XBIS, security booths for frisking, 11KV substation along with standby DG sets, eternal lighting and many others.
