Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 23 (UNI) The much awaited daredevil magical performance of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's, ''burning illusion'', ahead of a four-day international magicians meet, has been cancelled following pressure from his fans and film fraternity.
When contacted, Mohanlal said, ''as my fans and well-wishers insisted me not to do the act, I will not go ahead to respect their demand.'' On what he felt about calling off the project after going through 18 months training, he said, ''I am a positive thinking person and it may be all for good.'' However, it was quite disappointing, as hundreds of magicians had worked for the daredevil stunt to make it successful, he said and added that ''I have confidence to do it successfully.'' The actor said some magicians had given a bad propaganda about the performance that it would be dangerous and harmful to him.
''They even don't know what we are going to do. It is one of the rare daredevil act and no magician had done it in the past,''he said and added that if it had been conducted, it would get good exposure.
