Hizb's battalion commander killed in Mahore, J
Jammu, Apr 23 (UNI) A self-styled battalion commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), a militant outfit, was gunned down in an encounter at Mahore area of Jammu and Kashmir early today, a defence spokesman said.
The militant, identified as Abdul Haq alias Jahangir, was killed by a joint troops operation of 61 Rashtriya Rifles and police at Kalian under the jurisdiction of Arnas police station in Mahore at 0200 hrs, defence spokesman Lt Col SD Gowswami told UNI.
