Book prepares kids for pretty mothers after cosmetic surgery
London, Apr 23 (UNI) Crime, divorce, emotions-- Books for kids are available on almost all subjects preparing them to deal with real life situations.
But the latest one joining the bandwagon is a guide on mom's plastic surgery.
'My Beautiful Mommy', written by a plastic surgeon, has claimed to help children deal with the results of the cosmetic operations their parents undergo.
The emergence of a new breed of beauty conscious adults, enhancing their appearance clinically, was causing a traumatic effect on young children, author Michael Salzhauer said.
The picture book directed at children under seven would help parents explain kids what would happen before they go into hospital and the changes seen after the procedure.
''More than half the women who come in for procedures bring their children with them and most parents go into denial about the surgery with regard to their children,'' the Telegraph quoted Dr Salzhauer as saying.
