New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) The chief manager of a chain of ethnic wear showrooms in south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar area was found murdered with his throat slit under suspicious circumstances.

52-year-old Narendra Jaipalani was found lying in a pool of blood at the Central Market showroom in Lajpat Nagar by the area security guard late in the evening yesterday, said the police.

He grew suspicious as all shops in the area were closed on Monday and only this shop had its lights switched on.

The police on arrival recovered bottles of alcohol and some contraceptives from the spot. The throat of the victim was also slit.

However, there were no signs of robbery and the cash drawer was also undisturbed.

Family sources said there was no reason for personal or professional enmity.

Interrogation of employees revealed that the manager was inclined towards homosexuality.

A resident of Block C in Lajpat Nagar-I, Narendra had been working with the showroom group for the last nearly 20 years and had a daughter and two sons.

Investigations were on to ascertain the cause of murder and all efforts were being put to nab the killers, police added.
