LS begins discussion on demands for grants for Home
New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) BJP member Yogi Adityanath today accused the government of not waging a sincere war against terrorism, leading to terror outfits and insurgent groups raising their heads in different parts of the country at regular intervals.
Initiating the discussion in the Lok Sabha on budgetary demands for grants for the Home Ministry, he cited repeated terror strikes in the North East and Jammu and Kashmir, despite the government's claim of deployment of an adequate number of central paramilitary forces and other assistance to the state government.
Mr Adityanath asked the government to deal sternly with the Naxalites and insurgent groups and to end its policy of going soft on terror.
He said though Pakistan was often blamed for encouraging terror activities in India, several terror groups were working against Indian interests from Bangladesh.
