Three BJP corporators resign in Maharashtra
Nashik, Apr 21 (UNI) Three BJP Corporators of the Nashik Municipal Corporators (NMC) today resigned in support of BJP leader Gopinath Munde.
Mr Munde, the party's national general secretary, had dashed off his resignation letter to party president Rajnath Singh yesterday, apparently miffed over the appointment of Madhu Chavan as head of the Mumbai unit and had also alleged lack of democratic functioning in the party.
The three BJP Corporators--Kamlesh Bodabe, Sharad Sanap and Bandu Auhad--tendered resignations from their posts to BJP city president Vijay Sane. Mr Auhad is also the city vice-president of the party.
Former Mayor Balasaheb Sanap and CIDCO divisional branch president Kailas Ahire also tendered their resignations along with other office-bearers of the city's party working committee, yesterday.
