Munde issue figures in both houses, CM expresses concern
Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) The major political development in the BJP, involving resignation of its national general secretary Gopinath Munde from all organisational posts in the party, figured in both Houses of the State Legislature today.
Mr Munde is also a member of the State Assembly.
Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said he was concerned about the developments in the BJP.
Mr Munde had made a statement yesterday at Aurangabad, that for the last two years, he was not allowed to speak in the House.
NCP's Nawab Malik raised a point of order on the matter and said this amounted to direct blame on the speaker .
As din prevailed in the House on the issue, the speaker adjourned the House twice. Later, a meeting was also called to discuss the matter in the speaker's chamber.
Mr Munde, who attended the proceedings in the House, later said his statement had nothing to do with the functioning of the House, but it was the internal matter of BJP.
The issue was also raised in the state council by Gurunath Kulkarni (NCP), who wanted to take up the matter through an adjournment motion.
However, chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh did not allow it.
