Panaji, Apr 21: Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL), the second largest private housing finance company in India inaugurated its first branch in Goa at the hands of state Chief Minister Digamber Kamat today.
After the inauguration, DHFL Chairman Rakesh Kumar Wadhwan speaking to mediapersons said the company has a network of 59 branches, 69 service centres and 47 camps location across India and since inception, has been providing housing finance to the lower and middle income (LMI) group in the semi-urban and the rural belts of India.
Mr Wadhwan said Goa has seen sudden growth in the real estate sector with the re-development of old construction and also due to investment in properties mainly in the holiday home segment. "We foresee huge potential for growth in the long term,'' he added.
The company is present in more than 170 locations across the country and has representative offices in Dubai and London. DHFL has also tied up with the UAE sponsorship centre to promote and sell housing finance products through the network 54 branches across UAE.
