New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) The Delhi Government's Food and Supply department has registered FIRs against several agencies indulging in hoarding and blackmarketeering of edible oil and pulses in the Capital.
As per information received today from the office of the Additional Commissioner of the Food and Civil Supply Department in the Delhi government, FIRs were registered against six agencies in West and North - West Delhi after raids revealed that these agencies were indulging in hoarding and blackmarketing of edible oil and pulses.
Over 2,00,000 litres of edible oil and 44,000 litres of pulses were seized from these agencies, a release issued by the additional Commissioner's Office said.
The action was also taken against many agencies for not displaying price of articles as prescribed in Clause 3 of the Delhi (Display of Price and stocks of scheduled Essential Commodities) order 1977 as also for not displaying stock of articles as prescribed in clause 4 of the Delhi (display of prices and stocks of scheduled Essential commodities) order 1977.
