CBI defers Sauda Chief's case to May 10
Ambala, Apr 21 (UNI) The special CBI court today deferred to May 10 the hearing of the case of Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who attended the court.
The counsel of the Dera chief had moved an application that they had not received the copy of the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court where he had moved an application for quashing the allegations of murders and rape levelled against him by the CBI.
After hearing the counsel, CBI Judge R K Saini gave a new date for hearing.
However, the CBI counsel, while talking to mediapersons, claimed that the defendants were using delaying tactics.
The Dera Chief is facing two murder cases and charges of rape of his follower sadhvi. He was present in the case.
Later, the Dera Chief under tight security, went to the Gandhi Grounds Ambala Cantonment with a motorcade of more than 80 vehicles and addressed his followers who had gathered in thousands.
