Bhupathi-Knowles enter 2nd round of Monte Carlo Masters

Monaco, Apr 21 (UNI) The fourth seeded duo of Mahesh Bhupathi and his partner Mark Knowles got a bye in the first round of the doubles event in the Monte Carlo Masters here.

The Indo-Bahamian pair will take on the winners of the clash between Marcelo Melo and Andre of Brazil and the French-Serbian pair of Richard Gasquet and Janko Tipsarevic in the second round.

Leander Paes and his Australian partner Paul Hanley, meanwhile, will start their campaign against the Argentine pair of David Nalbandian and Sebastian Prieto.

If the unseeded Indo-Australian duo reaches the second round, they will take on the second seeded Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram.
