UPA responsible for price rise, inflation: AP BJP
Vijayawada, Apr 20 (UNI) Anti-people policies of the UPA Government at the Centre and the Congress Government in the state were responsible for spiralling prices of essential commodities and inflation, Andhra Pradesh BJP spokesperson N Ramachandra Rao today said.
He claimed that during the NDA regime, prices of all essential commodities were under control. The present UPA Government had failed to bring down the prices of essential commodities, he alleged.
He also alleged that the government had failed to control inflation due to lack of coordination between the Prime Minister and other cabinet ministers.
He blamed the Left parties for adopting double stand on the price issue. The Left parties were not ready to withdraw their support to the UPA, and at the same time they were joining hands with the UNPA, he alleged.
The BJP had decided to organise protest against the price hike.
Demanding the state government to release a white paper on Special Economic Zones (SEZs), he alleged that the government had violated the SEZ guidelines and acquired cultivating lands from the farmers wihtout paying them according to market rates.
Suggesting the government to review the SEZ policies, he alleged that the government was trying to transfer the farmers' lands to private companies.
