Set up FDC to attract filmmakers from Mumbai and South: Sinha
Srinagar, Apr 20 (UNI) Actor Shatrughan Sinha has urged the state government to set up a Film Development Corporation (FDC) in Kashmir to attract filmmakers from Bollywood and South.
The senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Minister said the setting up of FDC was necessary for the film, television and entertainment industry.
Mr Sinha said this will not only attract film makers, but will also boost the tourism in the state.
Admitting that he had come to Kashmir to encourage his actor son Luv Sinha, who is shooting for his film ''Sadiyan'' alongwith Ferzenia Wazir, Mr Sinha said he was also here since he had very good friends.
Without talking about his political life, he said I am here to encourage my son.
Recalling the relations of film industry with Kashmir, he said now his son Luv Sinha and Ferzenia Wazir had been playing the role of brand ambassadors to promote the beauty of the valley.
The actor turn politician said he believes that Kashmir was the the best place for shooting films and latest shooting of ''Sadiyan'' would spread a message to the whole world that Kashmir still is the best place.
Admiring the Tulip Garden at the foothill of Zabarwan hills on the bank of Dal Lake, he said this garden is not only the most beautiful garden in the country but in the whole world.
He said he not only wanted Bollywood film makers to come Kashmir, but would also suggest Tamil and Telugu film directors to shoot their films here.
