Mumbai, Apr 20 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Gopinath Munde resigned from all party posts on Sunday.
Annoyed with the BJP high commands' decision to appoint Madhur Chouhan as the Chief of Maharashatra party unit, former Deputy Chief Minister Munde resigned to register his ire, said sources.
''I resigned because the party was not functioning in a democratic way. I will now function as a common party worker,'' said Munde.
Chouhan is believed to be from the Nitin Gadhkari's group, which is supposed to be a rival of Munde's group.
Munde has sent his resignation letter to party President Rajnath Singh.
