Lights go off at Eden Gardens in midst of KKR innings

By Staff

Kolkata, Apr 20 (UNI) The much-hyped Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket match between Sourav Ganguly-led Kolkata Knight Riders and VVS Laxman-led Deccan Chargers came to a sudden halt when lights went off at the Eden Gardens this evening.

The Kolkata Knight Riders were 89 for the loss of five wickets with 20 balls to spare in reply to Deccan Chargers' 110 when the Eden Gardens suddenly went dark at around 1900 hours.

Local lad Laxmi Ratan Shukla and David Hussey were at the crease at that time.
