Jaipur, Apr 20: Close on the heels of refusal for signing the Rajasthan Universities Teachers (Regularisation) Bill 2008, Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh has now referred back to the government, the Rajasthan Para Medical Council Bill 2008, with suggestions for amendments.

The Governor, while referring back the Bill passed by the Assembly last month for registration and regulations for para medical staff, including Physiotherapy and Ortho Technology personnel, observed that these subjects itself were vast and major and deserved dealing separately.

"Therefore, the state government should consider constitution of separate council for these important subjects," the Governor added.

Law and Justice Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari said the Governor had sent the Bill with certain suggestions and the government would do the needful in this regard.

Earlier three days ago, Mr Singh had refused to sign the teachers Bill passed by the Assembly last month.

While favouring the enactment of the Bill for regularisation of services of the teachers, Mr Singh said, "I have noted that the committee to be constituted under the Act for regularisation of the universities' teachers would not have representatives of the Governor and the Faculty Dean. Therefore, I have asked the state government to review the Bill and add the names of the two representatives."
