PRSI observing National PR Day on April 21
Shimla, Apr 19 (UNI) Public relation (PR) professionals from all over Himachal Pradesh will assemble at Shimla to discuss issues related to them in a seminar on April 21, which is being observed as National PR day.
Titled ''Emerging Role of Public Relations in Management and Media Relations'', the seminar would be addressed by former Editor of Dainik Tribune Vijay Sehgal, Director Mass Communications of the Kurukshetra University V K Kuthiala and Symboisis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune Professor Ujawal K Chaudhary.
The seminar is being organised by the Himachal Chapter of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), which was formed in 1958 with an aim to promote the PR profession in the country.
It was on this day in 1968 when a National Seminar on Public Relations was held at New Delhi in which for the first time the PR professionals from all over the country came together and aired their views.
It was also on this day in 1986 that the National President of PRSI declared observing this day as the National PR day every year.
