Srinagar, Apr 19: Concerned over reports that some drug dealers were selling additive drugs to youths, the Controller of Drug and Food Control Organisation has warned chemists to maintain proper purchase and sale of such drugs.
An official spokesman said a team of the Drug Control Department headed by the Deputy Controller of Drug and Food Control Organisation, Kashmir, inspected various drug sale establishments in and around the posh Rawalpora area in the city.
During the inspection the team found '' Darul Shafa Drug Store'' had stored various addictive drugs, including Recodex, Corex, Ensdyl, Svizcodin and Bronosol without proper purchase record.
In addition, empty bottles of addictive drugs were also recovered from the shop, which was later sealed by the team.
The Controller, Drug and Food Control Organisation had warned the chemists to maintain proper purchase and sale record.
Any laxity in this regard would warrant severe action from the administration, he warned.
